It has been said, “Not everything that is learned is contained in books.” Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from books. In my opinion, which source is more important? why?
I have learned many lessons from different experiences in my life. Through my experiences in the stock market, I lost money on mutual fund and stocks. Now I know how to handle my money and where to invest it. Instead of investing in stock, now I invest in others. I told my children on my experience, for them to avoid same problem and make their life ealier.
A good book are recorded good experience by writer, that's why we shall learned from book and help ourself in better way. People can learn good things from good books. Not everything is contained in books but they can obtain knowledge from books. We can learn about other people’s experiences from books which saves our time and energy.
If a person makes a major mistake and writes about it, we as readers can avoid the mistakes they made. For example, a person writing about suffering from drug addiction informs people about the dangers of drug abuse.
I always encourage my children to read good books. I bought them British Encyclopedias when they were in high school. In British Encyclopedia, there are many thoughts and experiences from big people. Readers just read and learned it. A book might spent writer ten or twenty years experience even cost lifetime to write the book. Why not readers taken this advantage to gain knowledge? It metaphors like eat concentrate vatamin A to Z throught a pill. It makes itself in good growth.
To choose a book is very important. We shall be careful to choose good book. A good book might be recommand by professor or New York Time. Not all books are good. It can be a waste of time or even a result. Therefore, to choose good book is important. Not everything that is learned is contained in books, but my opinion, compare knowledge gained from books are more important than gained from experience.
